Cupcake FAQs:

Q. What are your hours?

A. We are open for cupcakes every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 -5 and on Thursdays from noon to 6 pm. We are closed on Mondays.

Q. Why aren’t you open on Saturday?

A. We do more than just cupcakes here and Saturdays and Sundays are big party days at Simply Done. Our facility is a popular spot for wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, baby showers, wedding showers, birthday parties and more. Because of that, we can’t be open for cupcakes on the weekend too. However, the cupcakes will keep for a few days. So, come on in on Friday and stock up for the weekend. You’ll be glad you did!

Q. What is your most popular flavor?

A. Well, we have more than one. So far, the favorites seem to be Peanut Butter Cup, Death by Chocolate, Lemon Ice Box Pie and Banana Pudding. Wedding Cake, White Chocolate and Sweet Tea (yes, sweet tea). Okay, I have to add blackberry cobbler, cinnamon roll and now pumpkin to the list. All of these are filled with luscious fillings.

Q. What makes your cupcakes so good?

A. They are made with love. Well that and we use only the best ingredients we can find. We use only real butter, canola oil, whole milk, real vanilla, heavy cream, etc. We don't use margarine or any other types of oil or lard or any preservatives.

Q. Do you have any cupcakes safe for kids with nut allergies?

A. We're sorry! Our kitchen is tiny and we do use nuts in a few of our recipes. Though most of our cupcakes do not contain nuts, we cannot guarantee that anything would be free from traces of them.

Q. Can I choose from any of your flavors if I order in advance?

A. Yes, if you give us 48 hours notice, you can order any flavor cupcake we make. However, there is a one dozen minimum on special flavor orders. There are also certain flavors that are not available at certain times because of the seasonal availability of the ingredients we use.

Q. Do you make cakes?

A. We do make cakes now. We have a talented pastry chef on staff that can create a great cake for your event. We also make a mega-cupcake which can be made in any of our scrumptious flavors and feeds 4 – 8 people. The mega cupcake must be ordered 48 hours in advance.  Mega-cupcakes are $24 each. Special cake orders must be made at least 4 days in advance or as soon as you know you are going to need it. We can only do a limited number of cakes each week with everything else we have going on so book early to be sure you get a spot on our calendar.  It should also be noted that some cupcake flavors do not translate well into cake. So talk to us first about flavors before you get your heart set on one.

Q. Can I get custom designs on the cupcakes?

A. We try to keep things pretty simple at Simply Done (hence our name)! It really is all about the cake! However, we do try to make our cupcakes pretty as well. We can add sprinkles or even specially designed toppers for your cupcakes from fondant, modeling chocolate or custom paper toppers. Toppers are an additional charge (talk to us to find out what the charge is for the design you want), but can be made to order. We need at least 48 hrs notice for special toppers.

Q. Do I need to order in advance?

A. If you need more than a dozen cupcakes, it really helps us if you call ahead. We will have them all boxed up and ready when you come in. Calling us ahead of time helps us to figure out how many cupcakes to bake each day! Our mega-cupcake and mini cupcakes are baked to order and must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.

Q. Can I get mini cupcakes? And, can I get them in any flavor?

A. Mini cupcakes are only available by special order with 24 hours advance notice. You can get many of our flavors in the mini cupcakes. HOWEVER, mini cupcakes will NOT have any filling in them. So, if you love our filling, you will want to go with our standard size cupcakes. Also, there is a three dozen minimum order for mini cupcakes. This is three dozen of the SAME flavor. If you want more than one flavor of minis, then you need to order at least 3 dozen of each flavor. The price for the minis is $6/dozen.

Q. Can I get cupcakes for my wedding?

A. Absolutely! We do lots of wedding cupcakes. We will even come and set up your cupcakes on your serving pieces or on ours if you would like us to (delivery and set up charges will apply). We also offer boxed cupcakes as wedding favors for $3.25 each ($4 each if you want them tied with a ribbon) and can put a personalized stickers or tags on the boxes commemorating your special day.

Q. Do you have gift certificates?

A. We sure do! Giving the gift of delicious cupcakes is a great idea. Who wouldn’t love to receive cupcakes as a gift? We have gift certificates available in our store for cupcakes, for casseroles to go or just for a specific dollar amount so they can pick which treat they want to purchase.
